TRASH COLLECTION
A weekly trash and rubbish collection is provided for all single family residents of the city at no cost to the individual homeowner. Collection days depend upon location in the city; in Franklin Knolls collection is on Monday. Trash collection is not provided on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. When the above holidays fall during the week, the collection schedules will be one day late with Friday’s scheduled collection made on Saturday of that week. This will place all routes back on schedule the following Monday.
PLACING REFUSE AT THE CURB
City ordinance states that containers and bundles shall not be placed at the curb or at the edge of the public street upon which the residence fronts, earlier than 6:00 p.m. of the day before collection, and all refuse containers must be removed no later than twelve hours following collection.
STORAGE OF GARBAGE AND REFUSE
Refuse, ashes, garbage and debris of any kind or nature shall be cared for in such a manner as not to be offensive to neighboring property owners.
